KatadataOTO – PT Mitsubishi Motors Krama Yudha Sales Indonesia (MMKSI) invited the media, including KatadataOTO, to experience the new features embedded in the Xforce Ultimate DS (Diamond Sense).

The five-passenger SUV has been refreshed with the latest safety features. This allows consumers to have a different driving experience.

Dozens of automotive journalists were invited for a day-long adventure from Jakarta to Sentul, Bogor, West Java. We were challenged to try out all the vehicle's advantages.

“The Xforce Ultimate DS is a reflection of Mitsubishi Motors' commitment to continuously adapt to the needs and desires of its users. We are holding this event to provide a direct driving impression,” said Atsushi Kurita, President Director of MMKSI in Jakarta (01/13).

New Features of the Mitsubishi Xforce Ultimate DS

Departing from the Pulomas area, East Jakarta, the group headed to Sentul. During the trip, we tried the ACC (Adaptive Cruise Control) with Low Speed Control feature.

This technology allows the vehicle to move forward without pressing the gas or brake, even on a congested toll road. This is because the driver assistance system can detect objects in front of the car.

As a result, the driver can experience more enjoyment during the journey.

“The ACC feature operates smoothly, both the gas and the brake, and it can still function even when the vehicle is stopped for 3 seconds. This adds to the driver's comfort in mobility,” said Setiawan Wijaya Praja, Product Planner at MMKSI, at the same location.

The ACC on the Xforce Ultimate DS is operated via a button on the right side of the steering wheel. Speed adjustments can also be made in the same location.

Then, the participants were invited to try other safety systems of the unit at Sentul Otopark. These included the Lead Car Departure Notification System, RCTA (Rear Cross Traffic Alert), and the Auto Rain Sensor.

The features mentioned above are very helpful for drivers, especially in large cities that are often congested or have traffic jams. However, in practice, drivers must still remain alert to their surroundings.

The participants then moved towards the South Sentul area through the uphill and winding roads typical of the hills. The car maneuvered and accelerated without difficulty.

For your information, MMKSI stated that they have upgraded the ECU (Electronic Control Unit). This step was taken to meet the needs of consumers who often go on adventures.
