KatadataOTO – Riau Governor Abdul Wahid was caught in a sting operation or OTT on Tuesday (04/11). It was mentioned that the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) confiscated a lot of evidence, including cash.

In total, the KPK has confiscated money amounting to Rp 1.6 billion. Also foreign currency in the form of dollars and pound sterling.

It should be noted that this is not the first time there have been allegations of corruption in Riau's government institutions.

“If I'm not mistaken, this is the fourth time Riau Province has had alleged acts of corruption or corruption that were then handled by the KPK,” said Budi Prasetyo, KPK Spokesperson, as quoted from Antara, Wednesday (05/11).

Looking at Abdul Wahid's wealth, data from the State Officials' Wealth Report (LHKPN) page records the total amount as Rp 6.3 billion, minus debts of Rp 1.5 billion.

This is divided into land and buildings, transportation equipment and machinery, cash and cash equivalents, and other assets.

Abdul Wahid is listed as owning two Sport Utility Vehicles (SUVs) that are often used by state officials in Indonesia, namely Toyota Fortuner and Mitsubishi Pajero.

Much of his wealth is actually in the form of land and buildings, totaling Rp 4.9 billion. Meanwhile, the two cars are reported to be worth Rp 780 million.

The first model mentioned in Abdul Wahid's LHKPN, is a 2016 Toyota Fortuner with a value of Rp 400 million.

This ladder-frame SUV, which debuted in 2005, has received various updates, most recently in 2024 with prices starting from the Rp 600 million range. Meanwhile, the highest-end type is priced at Rp 700 million and above.

Not only a Toyota Fortuner, Riau Governor Abdul Wahid also has a Mitsubishi Pajero in his garage.

In Abdul Wahid's LHKPN, a 2017 Mitsubishi Pajero, self-acquired, is listed with a value of Rp 380 million. However, the exact variant is not known, but it is believed to be a Pajero Sport.

In Indonesia, PT Mitsubishi Motors Krama Yudha Sales (MMKSI) only sells the Mitsubishi Pajero Sport. Its price is still similar to the Fortuner, in the range of Rp 500 million to Rp 700 million and above.
