KatadataOTO – Isuzu is committed to continuously strengthening sales in the Indonesian market, especially the export of Traga commercial vehicles, which has been ongoing since 2019.

Isuzu emphasizes that Indonesia plays an important role in achieving the commitments and targets set for the next five years.

To date, Indonesia has successfully helped Isuzu Global meet various sales targets and actively contributed to Isuzu's business growth.

“Indonesia has also been an export base for the Isuzu Traga since 2019, with a total of more than 32 thousand vehicle units to 10 countries in the Central American and African regions,” said Makoto Goto, General Manager of the Regional Management Office International Sales Division of Isuzu Motors Limited in an official statement, quoted on Tuesday (04/11).

Speaking overall, Goto revealed that Indonesia contributes nearly 50 percent of Isuzu's commercial vehicle sales in the Southeast Asian region.

Besides the export market, Goto revealed that Isuzu is also committed to presenting products that suit consumer needs and opportunities in Indonesia.

The biggest opportunities, according to Isuzu, are currently in the agriculture sector and fulfilling public needs.

To adapt to industrial progress, Isuzu has established a new business model and will increase investment until 2030.

“Isuzu also needs a new approach or initiative to achieve the 2030 target, including considering aspects such as after-sales service and sales methods,” said Goto.
