KatadataOTO – Lucky Hakim, the Regent of Indramayu, has come under scrutiny for vacationing in Japan during the 2025 Eid holiday. This is because he went without permission from the Minister of Home Affairs (Mendagri) and was deemed to have violated Law Number 23 of 2014 concerning Regional Government.

In article 76, it is stated that regional heads are prohibited from traveling abroad without permission from the minister. Violation of this rule can result in a temporary suspension for 3 months.

Although he has undergone an examination at the office of the Inspectorate General of the Ministry of Home Affairs, answering a summons from Bima Arya, the Deputy Minister of Home Affairs, and has admitted his mistake, public scrutiny remains high. This includes his wealth, especially his collection of motor vehicles.

Based on the State Officials' Wealth Report (LHKPN), Lucky Hakim has assets totaling Rp 10.7 billion. Of that amount, Rp 585 million is the value of his motor vehicles.
