KatadataOTO – Mitsubishi Destinator has received a positive response from the public in Indonesia. The new car is claimed to have many enthusiasts.

In fact, the Vehicle Order Letters (SPK) for the Mitsubishi Destinator have reached thousands of units.

"As of last Sunday (27/07), we have received around 2,000 SPK units," said Atsushi Kurita, President Director of PT Mitsubishi Motors Krama Yudha Sales Indonesia (MMKSI) at GIIAS 2025.

Kurita further stated that of the total number, 500 orders were collected during the GIIAS 2025 exhibition.

He was also pleased with the excellent results they achieved for their new car.

Moreover, the three-diamond emblem manufacturer is targeting 1,000 Mitsubishi Destinator orders at GIIAS 2025.

However, after just a few days, half of their set target has already been achieved.

"Basically, we are happy to get a good reaction from the market. The concept of this product is to create a new segment," he said.

On the other hand, Irwan Kuncoro, Director of Sales & Marketing Division MMKSI. According to him, the highest variant, the Ultimate, is the most in-demand by the public.

This is because the Mitsubishi Destinator Ultimate includes a Premium Package for an additional cost of Rp 30 million.

"The Ultimate can be said to contribute more than 50 percent. The remaining 50 percent are the Exceed and GLS," Irwan concluded.

For your information, the Mitsubishi Destinator carries a 1,500 cc engine with the code 4B40, equipped with turbo technology.

On paper, the Mitsubishi Destinator is claimed to produce 160 hp and a peak torque of 250 Nm, delivered to the two front wheels.

Despite this, the Mitsubishi Destinator is claimed to remain fuel-efficient. 

This is because the powertrain was previously used in the Eclipse Cross but has undergone a development phase.

The Mitsubishi Destinator is also equipped with five driving modes that can be adjusted to the user's needs. Ranging from Normal, Wet, Gravel, Mud, and Tarmac.

As a car that adopts a front-wheel-drive system, the Destinator is armed with a number of the latest technologies.

Including Active Yaw Contro (AYC) which functions to regulate the power distribution between the left and right front wheels.
