Mitsubishi Destinator offers the performance that everyday car users in Indonesia have always dreamed of.
KatadataOTO – Mitsubishi Destinator was officially launched at the GIIAS 2025 event. The seven-seater SUV immediately received a positive response from the Indonesian public.
Not only that, the Mitsubishi Destinator also received appreciation from various parties, proving the vehicle's quality can be relied upon.
One of the advantages of this new Mitsubishi model is the use of a turbo engine. The vehicle's powertrain is capable of providing a different sensation.
“The difference between turbos of the past and present must first be communicated. Today's technology has 8 injectors, while a regular engine has 4, so you get efficiency but with great power,” said Rifat Sungkar, Brand Ambassador for Mitsubishi Motors Indonesia, in a press release quoted on (12/14).
For your information, the Mitsubishi Destinator is equipped with a 1.5 L MIVEC engine, code 4B40, with a water-cooled intercooler.
The mechanical heart is believed to be capable of producing a maximum power of 163 ps or 160 hp. The vehicle's peak torque is claimed to be 250 Nm.
The configuration above is believed to meet the needs of daily car users, as the vehicle's power source is believed to be agile yet fuel-efficient.
Maintenance is not much different from a typical engine, as it is equipped with a water-to-air system as a turbo cooler.
This is different compared to old turbo systems. With past turbo engines, the powertrain could not be turned off immediately after use.
Here are the maintenance recommendations for the Mitsubishi Destinator's turbo engine
By performing periodic and regular maintenance, it is ensured that the vehicle's performance will not encounter significant problems.
To ensure driving safety, the car is equipped with a technology called Mitsubishi Motors Safety Sensing.
There are features such as Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), Forward Collision Mitigation System (FCM), Blind Spot Warning (BSW), Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA), Automatic High Beam (AHB), Leading Car Departure Notification (LCDN) and Multi Around Monitor.
Additionally, there are six SRS Airbags that can minimize the fatality rate from accidents.
