KatadataOTO – Mitsubishi Destinator has been officially launched at the GIIAS 2025 exhibition. The new car is offered in three variants.
Starting from Ultimate, Exceed to GLS. They can be purchased according to consumer needs.
Moreover, the cheapest Mitsubishi Destinator price starts from Rp 385 million. Meanwhile, the highest variant reaches Rp 465 million.
However, this price tag will not last forever. Mitsubishi Motors Krama Yudha Sales Indonesia (MMKSI) will revise it after GIIAS 2025 ends.
"This promotional price (for the Mitsubishi Destinator) is valid until September 2025," said Atsushi Kurita, President Director of MMKSI at GIIAS 2025 some time ago.
Nevertheless, the three-diamond manufacturer could not yet provide more detailed information.
Kurita revealed that they will see how well the Mitsubishi Destinator is received by the market in the country.
"We cannot announce the exact amount yet because we have to see the sales performance of this vehicle until the end of next September," Kurita continued.
Previously, Mitsubishi claimed that their new car received a positive reception from all consumers in the country.
In fact, Vehicle Order Letters (SPK) for the Mitsubishi Destinator have already reached 2,000 units.
"It received a good response from the public because it created a new premium family SUV segment that combines the toughness of an SUV and the comfort of an MPV," Kurita affirmed.
Meanwhile, it is claimed that 550 units of the Mitsubishi Destinator have been ordered during the GIIAS 2025 event.
The number above is close to the target they have set. Because Mitsubishi wants to sell 1,000 Destinators at GIIAS 2025.
"The Ultimate variant arguably contributes more than 50 percent. The remaining 50 percent are the Exceed and GLS," said Irwan Kuncoro, Director of Sales & Marketing Division at MMKSI on the same occasion.
For your information, the Mitsubishi Destinator relies on a 1,500 cc 4B40 engine equipped with turbo technology.
On paper, the Mitsubishi Destinator is claimed to produce 160 hp and a peak torque of 250 Nm, delivered to the two front wheels.
Nevertheless, the Mitsubishi Destinator is claimed to remain fuel-efficient.
This is because the powertrain was previously used in the Eclipse Cross but has undergone a development phase.
The Mitsubishi Destinator is also equipped with five driving modes, which can be adjusted to the user's needs. Starting from Normal, Wet, Gravel, Mud, and Tarmac.
