KatadataOTO – Mitsubishi Destinator is the latest product presented by PT Mitsubishi Motors Krama Yudha Sales Indonesia (MMKSI) in July 2025.

The model is said to fill the empty gap between the Xforce and the Pajero Sport. Making it an attractive option for consumers.

Its powertrain is adopted from the Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross, known for being powerful and tough enough to handle various road conditions.

Mitsubishi revealed that the high consumer interest in the Mitsubishi Destinator has led to a waiting list.

“The number of Vehicle Order Letters (SPK) has actually almost reached 13,000 units. Then, retail sales (distribution from dealers to consumers) as of yesterday were around 6,300 units,” said Yoshio Igarashi, Director of Sales & Marketing Division of PT MMKSI on the sidelines of GJAW 2025, Monday (24/11).

Consumers will need to wait a little longer. Because the number of Mitsubishi Destinator units assembled domestically has not yet matched the number of orders, which is around 13,000 units.

Therefore, prospective Mitsubishi Destinator buyers need to be patient if they are interested in purchasing the model, especially this year. Considering the waiting list is quite long.

“There are still five days left, the target is 7,000 units (delivered to consumers) by the end of this November for the Destinator,” said Igarashi.

As a result, Mitsubishi Destinator buyers will need to wait about one to two months.

To accommodate consumer demand, he emphasized that Mitsubishi will strive to deliver at least 9,000 units by the end of 2025.

“Out of the 13,000-something units, by December we want to deliver a total of about 9,000 units to consumers,” Igarashi affirmed.

For your information, the Mitsubishi Destinator is the production version of the DST Concept prototype. Indonesia is the first country to receive this product.

After Indonesia, the Mitsubishi Destinator will begin to be marketed in various other Southeast Asian countries, such as the Philippines.

The Mitsubishi Destinator has a similar look to the Xforce, but its dimensions are larger and it has a three-row seating configuration, a.k.a. a 7-seater.

The three-diamond brand describes the Destinator as a family car with a sporty and powerful appearance, almost similar to the character of the Xpander.
