The latest Mitsubishi DST Concept SUV is reportedly ready to launch in Indonesia, with four different variants offered.
KatadataOTO – Mitsubishi has a new model that is rumored to be launched in Indonesia in 2025, namely the Mitsubishi DST Concept. The SUV (Sport Utility Vehicle) at a glance has a design language similar to the XForce.
However, there is a high chance that the DST Concept is a 7-seater version of the XForce and will feature a larger body size.
On several occasions, a suspected Mitsubishi DST Concept unit was seen being road-tested in Indonesia, but it was wrapped in camouflage.
It was recently discovered that Mitsubishi has registered the new model. Specifically, in the Regulation of the Minister of Home Affairs (Permendagri) of the Republic of Indonesia Number 7 of 2025.
Four new codes are listed there, namely DST 1.5L in four variants. The types are H, M, P, and P Plus, all of which are 4X2 and use an automatic transmission.
However, there is no clear information regarding the engine yet. But it is believed to use the same engine as the current Xpander and Xforce.
The data also shows the NJKB (Motor Vehicle Sales Value) for the four types of the DST Concept car, ranging from Rp 193 million to Rp 240 million.
However, it should be noted that the NJKB is not the final benchmark for the selling price. Because this does not yet include other costs such as vehicle taxes.
Regarding the launch time, there are a number of automotive exhibitions this year that could be the venue for Mitsubishi to launch the DST Concept. One of them is GIIAS (Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show) 2025.
For your information, the Mitsubishi DST Concept made its global debut in the Philippines in early October 2024.
Mitsubishi previously revealed that the consumer response to the XForce has been quite good. Therefore, they are presenting its developed version with a 7-seater configuration.
The front fascia appears identical with the Dynamic Shield design and a honeycomb-patterned grille. The shape of its taillights is very similar to the XForce, its predecessor.
Just like the XForce, the DST Concept will be equipped with driving modes to support the driver's needs when driving on Southeast Asian road contours, such as Wet, Tarmac, Normal, Gravel, and Mud.
For comparison, the XForce is currently offered from Rp 385 million to Rp 426.3 million on the road in Jakarta. Meanwhile, the Xpander, which uses a similar engine, is sold starting from Rp 270 million to Rp 331.9 million.
