KatadataOTO – PT Krama Yudha Tiga Berlian Motors (PT KTB), the distributor of Mitsubishi Fuso Truck & Bus Corporation (MFTBC), has once again demonstrated its commitment to the field of education. They handed over one unit of a Fighter to SMK Negeri 1 Kamal, Madura, East Java.
The donation is expected to support students and teachers in the teaching and learning process.
“This is a manifestation of KTB's Corporate Values, one of which is to make a sustainable contribution to society,” said Daisuke Okamoto, President Director of PT KTB in his official statement.
It should be noted that the handover of this practical training vehicle to SMK Negeri 1 Kamal is part of PT KTB's corporate social responsibility program, namely the KTB Fuso Vocational Education Program. Its goal is to improve the quality of human resources in the automotive sector.
“We hope this donation can provide new enthusiasm for educators and students in absorbing knowledge from the industrial world. We strongly believe that the main driver of industrial progress is human resources with character, high competitiveness, and capable competencies,” said Prasetio Hartono, Administration & HR Director of PT KTB.
Mitsubishi Fuso itself has long been one of the largest automotive manufacturers in the country. In 2024, they successfully sold at least 27,683 units, equivalent to 38.1 percent of the total commercial vehicle market in Indonesia.
Of that total, the Canter variant in the Light Duty Truck (LDT) class was the largest sales contributor. The model was recorded to have sold 25,219 units, equivalent to 53.1 percent of the total market.
Meanwhile, in the Medium Duty Truck (MDT) category, the Fighter X recorded a market share of 13.3 percent, or 2,436 units.
This record is expected to grow in 2025. Various strategies have been prepared by the Japanese company.
Starting from launching new products, expanding the network, to innovating by presenting a variety of the latest technologies.
