KatadataOTO – The Mitsubishi Xforce is here to meet the needs of Indonesian consumers. The 5-seater SUV (Sport Utility Vehicle) is equipped with the latest safety and security features.

The new Mitsubishi Xforce Ultimate DS variant is already equipped with Diamond Sense technology. The car, launched at the GJAW (Gaikindo Jakarta Auto Week) 2024 event, features more comprehensive safety assistance features.

This new variant does not actually have major differences from the previous type. There are only a two-tone exterior color, a Rear Spoiler, and Fashionable Roof Rails.

Inside, the features offered are similar to the Ultimate variant. However, there is an addition of safety elements such as 2 Curtain Airbags.

Then, the highlight of the Mitsubishi Xforce is the presence of its safety features. Thus providing comfort on every journey.

“The standout feature of the Mitsubishi Xforce DS is the ACC which can be used in low-speed conditions. So it is very useful, especially for Jakarta or other big cities because the traffic conditions are very congested,” said  Guntur Harling, General Manager of Product Strategy Division PT. MMKSI some time ago.

It was further explained that Diamond Sense consists of Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) with low speed follow, Automatic High Beam (AHB), Forward Collision Mitigation (FCM), Lead Car Departure Notification System (LCDN), Blind Spot Warning (BSW), Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA).

There are also Auto Headlight, Auto Rain Sensor, and a Rear Camera. Active Yaw Control (AYC) is still maintained to enhance driving safety.

Then, the Mitsubishi Xforce Ultimate DS variant is packed with 4 driving modes: Normal, Wet, Gravel, and Mud. So consumers can adjust the car's handling according to the road conditions.

Discussing the AYC, which was first paired with the Xpander Cross, its working principle is to limit wheel rotation through a combination of sensors.

AYC combines data from the ABS, throttle sensor, engine speed, and also the steering angle. On the Mitsubishi Xforce, the feature will work when the driver uses a driving mode other than Normal and Mud.

“Even though it's a 2-wheel drive, the Drive Mode is not a gimmick because you can clearly feel it. The target segment for the X-Force is, on average, people who have a more adventurous spirit,” said Rifat Sungkar, Brand Ambassador for Mitsubishi Motors Indonesia at the GIIAS 2025 event.
