KatadataOTO – PT Mitsubishi Motors Krama Yudha Sales Indonesia (MMKSI) is preparing to raise the prices of its product lineup. This includes the newly launched Xforce Ultimate DS (Diamond Sense).

The revision by MMKSI is due to an increase in VAT (Value Added Tax) to 12 percent. This ensures that the prices of cars with the Three Diamonds logo will increase.

“Indeed, the Xforce is affected by VAT and Opsen (local tax), so there is a plan for a price increase starting February 1. This applies to the Xforce and all models,” said Yoshio Igarashi, Director of Sales & Marketing at MMKSI in Jakarta (13/01).

He further stated that regarding the opsen, Mitsubishi is still calculating. This is because the application of opsen varies in different regions.

“Three months to a year regarding the tax opsen. In Jakarta, it doesn't apply, so the BBN (vehicle ownership transfer fee) price remains the same,” explained Yoshio.

The Mitsubishi Xforce Ultimate DS itself was first marketed at the GJAW 2024 event. To date, the SUV is priced at Rp 422.9 million on the road in Jakarta.

Unfortunately, MMKSI has not yet disclosed how much the price increase for their products will be.

New Features of the Mitsubishi Xforce Ultimate DS

The Mitsubishi Xforce Ultimate DS comes as an SUV with more complete safety features. This step was taken to meet consumer needs.

Additionally, the competition in the compact SUV segment is quite fierce with many competitors. Each offers superior advantages to attract consumers.

Facing stiff competition, MMKSI has equipped the Xforce with a driver assistance system commonly known as ADAS (Advanced Driving Assistance System).

However, the Three Diamonds manufacturer calls it Diamond Sense. It is possible that this system will also be embedded in other Mitsubishi models.

Equipped with a mono camera, front and rear radar sensors, and Ultrasonic Parking Sensors, the Xforce Ultimate DS is safer to drive.

There are safety features including Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) with Low Speed Follow, Automatic High Beam (AHB), Forward Collision Mitigation (FCM), Lead Car Departure Notification System (LCDN), Blind Spot Warning (BSW), Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA), Auto Headlight, and Auto Rain Sensor.
