New Indoor Go-kart Track Opens in Jakarta, Prices Start from IDR 100,000

KatadataOTO – The indoor gokart attraction, Drift.inc, has officially opened its new branch at Central Park Mall, Jakarta. This area can be enjoyed by visitors of all ages.

Previously, Drift.inc had already opened in several other major cities such as Bandung, Makassar, and Surabaya.

Drift.inc aims to provide a safe and comfortable indoor gokart racing experience, so you don't have to worry about the weather while playing. 

In addition, Drift.inc is one of the gokart attractions with the longest track in Jakarta, at 284 meters.

It is hoped that this can accommodate gokart enthusiasts to experience racing to the fullest.

“All of our branches are indoors. We want this experience to be accessible,” said Gunawan Tan, CEO of Haguro Inspira Mandiri, during the inauguration of Drift.inc on Thursday (11/12).

Located in a well-known mall area in Jakarta, Drift.inc is expected to be a facility for visitors to directly experience the sensation of indoor racing.

He continued that if visitors want to ride the gokarts, they only need to meet a few requirements. Such as a minimum height of 100 cm.

Before the race, visitors will first be given information regarding the gokart's operation, such as the gas and brake pedals, the forward-reverse mechanism, and the track layout.

This ensures the game can run smoothly and safely for all players on the track.

Speaking about the Drift.inc area, Gunawan emphasized that this branch is the largest arena in the Jakarta area.

“(The Drift.inc area) is 2,600 m2, we are the largest in Jakarta. As for the price, we see it as still quite affordable in Jakarta,” said Gunawan.

The price range to play at the Drift.inc indoor gokart attraction is Rp 100,000 to Rp 150,000 per person.

He himself assesses that enthusiasts of indoor games like gokarting are quite popular among urban communities. 

This then became one of the reasons for the decision to open Drift.inc at Central Park mall.

“We are of course always open to expansion opportunities. But we adjust and look at market conditions,” Gunawan affirmed.
