KatadataOTO – The new Mitsubishi Triton has received an additional variant specifically for the Thai market. The three-diamond manufacturer is introducing a variant with a sportier look, specifically for the single cabin type.

The pickup is categorized as a Mega Cab, filling the gap between the Single Cab and Double Cabin.

According to information on its official website, the new Mitsubishi Triton variant is named Mega Cab 2.4 Street. This model is sold with a six-speed manual transmission option.

This is interesting because the Mitsubishi Triton Street is essentially a sporty version of the lowest Single Cabin pickup type.

The Triton Street is an attractive alternative for consumers who want to use an entry-level pickup truck but with a sportier style, similar to that applied to the double cabin variants.

There are several noticeable differences between the Mitsubishi Triton Street and the standard Single Cabin type. The most visible is the wheels used.

In its lowest type, the Mitsubishi Triton Single Cab 2.4 Pro still uses steel wheels.

Meanwhile, the Mitsubishi Triton Street appears more elegant using 17-inch black alloy wheels finished in black.

The front design has changed. The standard Triton Single Cabin still features the Dynamic Shield concept equipped with a rectangular grille.

In the Mega Cab Street variant, the grille is made to look larger, retaining its black color, but is combined with a matching colored bumper that adds a sporty impression.

There are no changes to the engine specifications, still using the 2,400 cc turbodiesel engine from the lowest Triton variant.

Features on the Street type include two speakers, a 10-inch infotainment screen, Hill Start Assist (HSA), and it is equipped with three airbags.

There is a possibility that the design language of the Mitsubishi Triton Street will later be applied to the entire Triton lineup as a refresh.

The newest Mitsubishi Triton variant is offered at a price of 649,000 Baht, or equivalent to Rp 346.2 million when converted to the rupiah exchange rate.

In Indonesia, the Mitsubishi Triton is sold for Rp 323.2 million on the road in Jakarta for the manual transmission Single Cabin type.

Meanwhile, its highest variant, the Ultimate AT Double Cabin 4WD, is sold for Rp 533.7 million.
