KatadataOTO – The New Mitsubishi Xpander received a refresh recently. As a family car, new features have been added focusing on driving comfort.

This step is said to be a form of commitment from Mitsubishi Motors Indonesia to provide a stable and safe vehicle.

The latest breakthrough is the use of the AYC (Active Yaw Control) feature. This provides a different driving experience from the previous version.

"The addition of the AYC feature is actually widely used in a number of high-power vehicles. The Mitsubishi Xpander will be more comfortable because it is more stable," said Rifat Sungkar, Brand Ambassador for Mitsubishi Motors Indonesia, some time ago.

AYC itself is a technology that functions to improve the vehicle's maneuvering capabilities. It ensures the vehicle responds to steering movements according to the driver's wishes.

AYC is also integrated with other car systems. Take braking, for example, which becomes more superior.

While modern cars are generally equipped with ABS (Anti-Lock Brake System) and ASC (Active Stability Control), the New Mitsubishi Xpander also adds AYC.

These three technologies are useful in adjusting the braking force on the front wheels. As a result, the vehicle remains under control on various road conditions.

Besides AYC, the New Mitsubishi Xpander is also equipped with a number of other safety features including Electric Parking Brake (EPB) with Brake Auto Hold (BAH), RISE (Reinforced Impact Safety Evolution) Body, Rigid Body Structure, Pedestrian Protector, ABS, EBD with Brake Assist, Hill Start Assist (HSA), Emergency Stop Signal System (ESS), Active Stability Control (ASC), Special Tuned Suspension.

The New Mitsubishi Xpander also gets a refreshed appearance with a few touches to the front, side, and rear body design, as well as the grille. The lighting also looks fresher than the previous version.

Inside the cabin, refreshments have been made such as a new steering wheel design, rear view camera, new interior color, and headrest adjustment for the second and third rows. Updates have also been made to the head unit monitor and the meter panel.

“We want to be a brand that remains relevant to the needs and desires of the public by refreshing and improving our products, staying competitive, and continuing the dominance of the Xpander in the upper LMPV segment, as well as the Xpander Cross in the LSUV segment,” explained Atsushi Kurita, President Director of PT MMKSI, as quoted on (06/27).
