KatadataOTO – The Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS) 2025 event was utilized by Maka Motors to introduce their products more deeply to visitors. This is important because they are still a new manufacturer and need to be more aggressive in shaping the market.
Therefore, they displayed several units of the Maka Cavalry at their booth for the public to see directly. Including a unit that was kept running in a puddle of water.
“We understand what kind of motorcycle riders need. That's why the Maka Cavalry is presented as a mobility solution for the public, developed through in-depth R&D and incorporating various inputs from riders,” said Arief Fadillah, CTO & Co-Founder of Maka Motors.
He also revealed that the development was carried out by adapting to the needs of the people in the country. So it is hoped that customers can be more confident in using their vehicles.
The advantage they are most proud of is its range, reaching 160 km on a single charge. This is achievable thanks to the use of a 4 kWh capacity battery.
Although it can travel quite far, its performance remains impressive as it can reach a speed of 105 km per hour. Its acceleration is also optimal, capable of reaching 60 km per hour in 4.8 seconds.
Not only that, the manufacturer also claims it can climb inclines of up to 30 degrees and has a 20-liter luggage compartment.
The next advantage is its appearance, which is quite sturdy and resembles a conventional motorcycle. To create it, they claim to have received various inputs from multiple parties.
“When we conducted our study, many people wanted a sturdy motorcycle, so we focused heavily on that,” he then added.
Because road conditions in Indonesia are often flooded during the rainy season, they have designed the motorcycle to continue operating. They even claim the Maka Cavalry can move normally even when the water level reaches 60 cm.
“In our R&D, we have a pool specifically made to ensure the motorcycle is not damaged even when it has to go through puddles,” concluded Arief Fadillah.
