Bajaj Auto Acquires KTM for Rp 15.3 Trillion

At least 26 vehicles were seized by the KPK in connection with alleged corruption at BJB bank, including Ridwan Kamil's Royal Enfield.

KatadataOTO – 26 vehicles were confiscated by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) related to the alleged corruption case in the advertising procurement project at Bank BJB. Of that number, one was a Royal Enfield Classic 500 Limited Edition confiscated from the former Governor of West Java, Ridwan Kamil (RK).
In addition, there were also a Mitsubishi Pajero, a Toyota Innova Zenix Hybrid, a Toyota Avanza, and a Yamaha Nmax. All of these vehicles were secured to be used as evidence in the trial.
“One of the confiscated items has been moved and is being held at the Rupbasan (State Confiscated Objects Storage House) in Cawang, East Jakarta. The vehicle is a Royal Enfield brand motorcycle,” said Tessa Mahardhika Sugiarto, KPK Spokesperson, as reported by Antara (25/04).
She also added that the motorcycle was not listed in the State Officials' Wealth Report (LHKPN).
“The motorcycle was not included in RK's LHKPN,” Tessa added.
Although Ridwan Kamil is known to own a number of vehicles, the KPK only confiscated one Royal Enfield motorcycle. This is because only that unit was deemed to be related to the case.
“All evidence confiscated by investigators is definitely related to the case,” she said.
In the alleged Bank BJB corruption case, KPK investigators have named five suspects: Yuddy Renaldi (YR), President Director of Bank BJB, and Widi Hartoto (WH), a Commitment-Making Official (PPK) and Head of the Corsec Division at Bank BJB.
In addition, the controller of the agency and Cakrawala Kreasi Mandiri, Ikin Asikin Dulmanan (IAD); the controller of the BSC Advertising agency and Wahana Semesta Bandung Ekspress, Suhendrik (S); and the controller of Cipta Karya Sukses Bersama, Sophan Jaya Kusuma (SJK).
They were named as suspects based on Article 2 paragraph 1 or Article 3 of Law Number 31 of 1999 concerning the Eradication of Corruption Crimes, as amended by Law Number 20 of 2001, in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph 1 clause 1 of the Criminal Code (KUHP).
KPK investigators estimate the state losses from the alleged corruption at Bank BJB to be around Rp 222 billion.
