KatadataOTO – The 2025 Christmas and New Year (Nataru) holidays are just around the corner. Usually, many people travel.
Whether to visit relatives or go to tourist attractions with family during the holiday season.
Seeing this, the Minister of Finance (Menkeu) is ready to present various programs to accommodate the public during the 2025 Nataru holidays.
For example, by providing toll rate discounts. However, this will not apply to all toll road sections.
“It seems there are several routes that will get (the rate cut),” said Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa, Minister of Finance, as quoted by Antara on Tuesday (04/11).
Unfortunately, Minister of Finance Purbaya could not provide detailed information about the toll rate discounts. This includes which toll road sections will be affected by the program.
Additionally, details about the discount amount and the exact implementation time of this program are yet to be announced.
“But I forget which toll routes,” Purbaya added.
On the other hand, Dody Hanggodo, the Minister of Public Works (PU), stated that he will discuss toll rate discounts for the 2025 Nataru holiday period. He will do this together with the toll road business entities (BUJT).
Like Purbaya, Dody also could not provide information regarding the discount amount that will be given.
According to Dody, the sections that will receive the discount are likely to be the same as last year's period.
As a reminder, the Minister of Public Works along with the BUJT provided a 10 percent toll rate discount in 2024.
This decision was made to maximize traffic distribution and to avoid vehicle congestion at several points.
Especially on certain dates predicted to be the peak of the Nataru exodus and return flows.
The toll rate discount for the Trans-Java Toll Road cluster applies to the integrated sections of Jakarta-Cikampek, Cikampek-Palimanan, Palimanan-Kanci, Kanci-Pejagan, Pejagan-Pemalang, Pemalang-Batang, Batang-Semarang up to the Semarang Toll Road Section ABC.
Meanwhile, for the return flow, it applies to the Semarang ABC toll section up to the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road, or from the Kalikangkung Toll Gate to the Cikampek Utama Toll Gate.
Next, for the Trans-Sumatra, a 10 percent toll rate discount was given to all vehicle classes during the exodus flow at several locations.
For example, the Terbanggi Besar-Pematang Panggang-Kayu Agung section (South Bakauheni Toll Gate-Kayu Agung Utama Toll Gate), the Kayu Agung-Palembang section (Kayu Agung Utama-Kramasan), and the Pekanbaru-Dumai Toll Road.
