Agus Suryonugroho has been appointed as the Head of the National Police Traffic Corps, replacing Aan Suhanan, who is retiring.

KatadataOTO – A major rotation has been carried out within the Indonesian National Police. A number of high-ranking officials in strategic positions have been replaced with new people.

This includes the position of Kakorlantas (Head of the Traffic Corps). The position is now held by Brigadier General Agus Suryonugroho.

The former Deputy Chief of the Central Java Regional Police turns out to have a series of two- and four-wheeled vehicles in his garage.

Looking at the LHKPN (State Official's Wealth Report) filed on January 11, 2023, Agus is recorded as having assets worth IDR 4.8 billion.

The figure above consists of several instruments. One of them is transportation equipment and machinery with an estimated value of IDR 616 million.

In the new Head of the Traffic Corps' garage, there is a Honda motorcycle whose model is not specified. However, it was manufactured in 2001 and is listed as a personal acquisition valued at IDR 11.5 million.

Next, for two-wheeled vehicles, Agus Suryonugroho also owns a Honda Goldwing, which is a personal acquisition. He acquired it for IDR 150 million.

Moving on to cars, Agus also reported a 1982 Toyota Hardtop. It is a personal acquisition with an estimated price of IDR 50 million.

Then there is also a Toyota Kijang Innova. Like the other vehicles, it is a personal acquisition valued at IDR 185 million.

Then there are two cars whose make and model are not specified. From 2009 and 2011 respectively, they are personal acquisitions valued at IDR 100 million and IDR 120 million.

On the other hand, the largest asset of this new Head of the Traffic Corps is land and buildings. It consists of two plots with an estimated value of IDR 4.8 billion.

Not to forget other movable assets worth IDR 200 million, cash and cash equivalents of IDR 241 million, and debts of IDR 1 billion. Thus, the total wealth of Agus Suryonugroho is IDR 4.8 billion.

Replacing Aan Suhanan

As a reminder, Agus Suryonugroho replaces Inspector General Aan Suhanan, who has entered his retirement period.

Agus's appointment by National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo is stated in the Transfer Telegram Letter Number ST/200/I/KEP./2025 dated January 31, 2025.

In the same telegram, the National Police Chief also appointed East Java Regional Police Chief Inspector General Imam Sugianto as the National Police Chief's Primary Operations Assistant. Then, Brigadier General Asep Safrudin was entrusted to become the Riau Islands (Kepri) Regional Police Chief.
