Note the Schedule and Locations of the 20 Percent Toll Discount This Month

KatadataOTO – The toll rate discount is finally officially in effect. This policy can be utilized by all four-wheeled vehicle owners.

The plan is for the incentive from President Prabowo Subianto's aides to be allocated for 110 million cars.

Jasa Marga, along with other Toll Road Business Entities (BUJT), revealed that the toll rate discount will be valid for ten days.

"The 20 percent tariff cut stimulus, implemented over ten days, will be divided into three periods," said Rivan Achmad Purwantoro, President Director of Jasa Marga, to Antara on Wednesday (04/06).

Rivan explained that the toll road tariff discount will be valid for four days during the Eid al-Adha holiday from June 6–9, 2025.

It can then be utilized during the initial school holiday period from June 27–29, 2025, or for three days.

Lastly, the toll rate discount will also apply during the final school holiday period from July 11–13, 2025. Thus, it is hoped to stimulate public travel.

This can invigorate the nation's economy, especially during the upcoming school holiday period.

Furthermore, Rivan stated that the toll rate discount will be implemented in a number of strategic locations in the country.

For instance, on the Trans-Java Toll Road. This includes Jakarta–Cikampek, Palimanan–Kanci, Batang–Semarang, Semarang Toll Road Section ABC, Surabaya–Gempol, Gempol–Pandaan, and Pandaan–Malang.

Then on the Trans-Sumatra Toll Road, starting from Belawan–Medan–Tanjung Morawa (Belmera) and Medan–Kualanamu–Tebing Tinggi (MKTT).

The implementation of the toll rate discount is an effort to encourage national economic growth in line with the company's Environmental Social Governance (ESG) principles.

"The total number of toll road sections receiving the tariff discount reaches ten sections spread across the Java and Sumatra regions," Rivan affirmed.

It should be noted that this policy applies to all vehicle classes and people making continuous journeys.

The stimulus is also expected to ease the burden of travel costs for toll road users.

On the other hand, the 20 percent toll rate discount will not apply if the transaction is made with an insufficient electronic money balance.

This government assistance also cannot be enjoyed by the public if the vehicle's origin and class cannot be read.

As a reminder, the 20 percent toll rate discount provided by the government is non-state budget (non-APBN).

It will be implemented through a circular letter from the Ministry of Public Works to the BUJT.

Sri Mulyani, as the Minister of Finance (Menkeu), wants this assistance to maintain economic growth momentum and encourage public activity during the school holidays.

"They can boost domestic economic activity by traveling within the country," said Sri Mulyani.
