KatadataOTO – The Lampung Provincial Government plans to add more Samsat Digital Drive Thru service counter locations. This facility is expected to make it easier for the public to pay vehicle taxes in the future.
This is because drivers will no longer need to park the vehicles for which they are paying taxes. Thus, it is hoped that no time will be wasted in fulfilling this obligation.
"We are striving to improve public services in Lampung and increase vehicle tax payments in the region. Therefore, service innovations like the Samsat Digital Drive Thru have been created," said Rahmat Mirzani Djausal, Governor of Lampung, as reported by Antara (21/04).
He even emphasized that his party is ready to add more Samsat Digital Drive Thru service counters in regencies and cities.
"In addition to the one in front of the Lampung Governor's Office, we will set up Samsat Digital Drive Thru service counters in three to four locations in regencies and cities,” he then added.
Furthermore, for the long-term plan, the regional government will also expand digital-based public services.
"For tax payments, we do anticipate a buildup, especially during the tax amnesty program. This usually happens at places like the Rajabasa Samsat office, which is why the digitalization of vehicle registration (STNK) renewals is being implemented,” he said.
Therefore, they will create a public service application by adopting the Jakarta Kini (JAKI) application, which was developed by the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government.
"This public service application will be created so that the public will no longer face difficulties. Yesterday, we also learned from DKI Jakarta about the development of digitalizing public services," he added.
He said that through the ease of paying taxes and accessing public services, the public's awareness and compliance with their obligations can grow and have a positive impact on increasing regional revenue.
"If everything is easy and well-served, there will be an increase in revenue. Then, prosperity will increase, so regional development will run smoothly,” he then added.
It should be noted that Lampung is one of the provinces holding a motor vehicle tax amnesty. This measure is provided to make it easier for the public to fulfill their obligations.
