Tomi Airbrush is ready to introduce new talent to the automotive industry, specifically in painting and modification.
KatadataOTO – Starting a business in the field of motor vehicle painting, Tomy Gunawan began from a hobby that he has continued to pursue to this day.
More specifically, Tomy is known as a reliable airbrusher. The number of works he has produced is countless.
For 30 years, he has been creating and surviving in the country's automotive industry. However, this has not yet brought him satisfaction.
Because Tomy realizes the importance of regeneration in the field of modification, especially painting.
For that reason, he is opening opportunities for the younger generation who want to advance together. The goal is to create new talent ready to compete both nationally and internationally.
Tomi Airbrush is opening a professional painting class. Capitalizing on his experience over the last three decades.
“In this painting class, we combine knowledge, experience, and passion to become a professional and an airbrusher in Indonesia,” said Tomy in a press release quoted (02/09).
The class itself is said to be open to anyone. Especially for the public and young entrepreneurs in the automotive field who want to learn painting techniques.
It is mentioned that the method used is theory and practice. Each student will be equipped with a guide to the fundamentals of painting techniques.
All the techniques taught have been applied in the daily operations of the Tomi Airbrush workshop.
Then in the practical session, each participant can directly engage in painting. Starting from sanding the body, applying putty, epoxy, to creating color gradations.
In practice, the students will also be taught the correct way to polish the body. So they can produce a perfect paint shine.
“The learning duration is one month. It is dominated by activities focused on the provided media,” said Tomy.
As for the fee for the Tomi Airbrush painting class, it is Rp 5 million. This amount is said to cover all learning necessities.
Tomi Airbrush provides facilities for each student, from primer, epoxy, paint to varnish, painting equipment, and the media itself.
“The target is 80 percent practice, so students can directly enter the field. So that participants are ready to work in the automotive painting industry or even open their own workshop,” explained Tomy.
With the regeneration of the painting and airbrush business, it will indirectly add competitors in the future.
He stated that he is not afraid of competition. In fact, he would be proud if someone succeeds in building a business and contributing to the Indonesian automotive world.
