The BYD Ti7 will become a global product, making its debut in Southeast Asia at the Bangkok Motor Expo 2025 in Thailand.
The BYD Ti7 has not been officially launched in Thailand, but it signals that the Ti7 will become a global product to be marketed in Southeast Asia.
It is possible that Indonesia will be one of them. Considering the positive trend of vehicle electrification in the country, plus the fact that SUVs are still one of the most sought-after segments by consumers.
It seems there are several considerations for BYD to bring the Ti7 outside of China. This model has received a very good response from domestic consumers in China.
According to a report from Carnewschina, the BYD Ti7 sold more than 80,000 units in just 80 days.
The exterior design of the BYD Ti7 and its capable specifications are considered the main reasons why Chinese citizens are very fond of the model.
Going on sale in September 2025, the price of the BYD Ti7 ranges from 179,800 yuan to 219,800 yuan, equivalent to Rp 422.9 million to Rp 517.1 million in rupiah.
With its presence in Thailand as a right-hand drive vehicle, Indonesia has the potential to be the next country where the BYD Ti7 is sold.
It will be interesting if it comes to Indonesia. The BYD Ti7 will be a direct rival to the Jetour T2 PHEV. Just like BYD, Jetour has never brought a hybrid car to the Indonesian market.
