Comparison of Compact SUVs in the 200 Million Rupiah Range: Fronx, Tiggo Cross, and WR-V

Transmission

Among the three models, only the Chery Tiggo Cross is not available with a manual transmission option. Both the Premium and Comfort variants are equipped with a CVT (Continuous Variable Transmission).

The Honda WR-V also uses a CVT automatic transmission. Meanwhile, the Fronx uses an AT or Automatic Transmission.

In short, a CVT works automatically to change the transmission ratio by using two pulleys and a steel belt. Whereas an AT uses a torque converter, which is said to make gear shifts more noticeable.

Safety Features

On the Suzuki Fronx, all types are equipped with an ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System) called SSF or Suzuki Safety Support.

On the Chery Tiggo Cross, the top Premium type gets 15 features including Lane Keep Assist and Adaptive Cruise Control.

Meanwhile, on the Honda WR-V, ADAS is only available on the highest RS with Honda Sensing type, which is sold in the Rp 300 million range.

Price

These three models are priced starting from the Rp 200 million range. However, only Suzuki offers ADAS on its lowest type.
