KatadataOTO – TAM (Toyota Astra Motor) is conducting an SSC (Special Service Campaign) or recall in early March 2025. This time, it applies to the Toyota Raize and Agya models.
Both of the above cars are said to require inspection and reprogramming of the ECU (Electronic Control Unit) Brake Booster.
“Toyota's attention and responsibility do not stop when the car arrives at the customer's home,” said Henry Tanoto, Vice President Director of TAM in an official statement, Tuesday (04/03).
Henry said that the recall for the Toyota Agya and Raize is a commitment to prioritizing their customers' safety.
This initiative also reflects Toyota's transparency in providing responsible solutions. Especially for potential issues in products that have been marketed.
Furthermore, this Japanese brand also guarantees vehicle quality through a warranty program and is supported by easily accessible after-sales services.
“With the spirit of continuous improvement, we continue to research products that have been marketed to find possible problems and immediately take corrective steps,” Henry continued.
For your information, the affected Toyota Raize and Agya will undergo an inspection of the ECU that controls the brake booster.
It should be noted that the brake booster is a component in the braking system. It helps the driver to brake more easily and lightly.
Toyota also found a potential malfunction in the ECU due to improper programming.
Under certain conditions, there is a possibility that the brake booster may not work optimally. This can increase the vehicle's stopping distance.
Then, the user must apply greater pressure when braking. This affects the vehicle's safety on the road.
Therefore, they are conducting a recall for the Toyota Raize with a production year from June 8, 2021, to July 16, 2024.
