KatadataOTO –Toyota Veloz Hybrid is the latest electrified vehicle presented by PT Toyota Astra Motor (TAM) for consumers in the country.

In early December, the number of orders was said to have reached 400 units. However, as of early January, the total Vehicle Order Letters (SPK) surged to thousands of units.

“To date, the number of pre-bookings has reached nearly 4,000 units in just about 1.5 months (after its launch),” said Jap Ernando Demily, Marketing Director of PT TAM to KatadataOTO, on Saturday (01/03).

He revealed that the Toyota Veloz Hybrid was well-received by consumers and the public after its debut at the Gaikindo Jakarta Auto Week or GJAW 2025 event.

The Veloz Hybrid becomes a new Hybrid Electric Vehicle (HEV) option with a competitive price tag, positioned in the class below the Kijang Innova Zenix Hybrid.

“We would like to thank the public for the positive response to the New Veloz Hybrid EV, including since the pre-booking period opened in late November 2025,” said Ernando.

Consumers can now place orders for the Toyota Veloz Hybrid at the nearest official dealers. Deliveries are scheduled to begin in the first quarter of 2026.

For your information, the Toyota Veloz Hybrid's appearance is not much different from its conventional version. However, there is a hybrid emblem on the rear, and a two-tone variant is available.

Following Toyota's other hybrid lines, the T logo on the vehicle is framed with a blue-colored accent to differentiate it from the conventional engine variant.

The Toyota Veloz Hybrid uses a 1,500 cc 2NR-VEX engine. A similar powertrain is also currently embedded in the Yaris Cross HEV.

Meanwhile, the battery uses NMC material, similar to the Kijang Innova Zenix HEV and Yaris Cross HEV.

Then there are four driving modes, namely Power, Normal, Eco, and EV Mode, which can be selected according to the driver's needs.

Thanks to this configuration, the Veloz Hybrid is claimed to have good fuel efficiency and is suitable for daily mobility.

In terms of features, the Toyota Veloz Hybrid is equipped with Auto Hold, Electronic Parking Brake (EPB), as well as an integrated entertainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

The Toyota Veloz Hybrid price is still the same as the pre-booking price, which is from IDR 299 million to IDR 390 million on the road in Jakarta.
