How to Prevent Fuel Prices from Rising Due to the Iran-America Conflict

All private gas stations increased fuel prices in March 2025, while Pertamina maintained their product prices.

KatadataOTO – As at the beginning of the previous month, a number of government and private-owned gas stations (SPBU) have adjusted their prices.
For example, the one implemented by PT Pertamina. This state-owned enterprise has maintained the prices of several of its products.
For example, the price of Pertamax remains at Rp 12,900 per liter as of Saturday (01/03). Similarly, Pertamax Turbo is sold at Rp 14,000 per liter.
The same goes for Pertamax Green 95, which people can buy at Rp 13,700 per liter.
Meanwhile, the price of fuel for the Dexlite type dropped from Rp 14,600 to Rp 14,300 per liter. Pertamina Dex is also similar, down from Rp 14,800 to the current Rp 14,600 per liter.
As for subsidized fuel, there are no changes. Pertalite remains at Rp 10,000 per liter and Biosolar at Rp 6,800 per liter.
On the other hand, private gas stations have collectively raised their fuel prices. For example, Shell Super went from Rp 13,350 to now Rp 13,590 per liter.
Next, Shell V-Power went from Rp 13,940 to Rp 14,060 per liter. Additionally, Shell V-Power Nitro+ is sold at Rp 14,240 per liter in March 2025.
However, the price of Shell V-Power Diesel has decreased. It was previously Rp 15,030 and is now Rp 14,760 per liter.
BP AKR also raised its fuel prices. For example, BP 92 increased to Rp 13,300 from Rp 13,200 per liter.
BP Ultimate also skyrocketed, reaching Rp 14,060 per liter. Whereas last month it was only Rp 13,940 per liter.
However, the price of BP AKR's diesel fuel actually decreased. It is now marketed at Rp 14,760, down from Rp 15,030 per liter.
Finally, Vivo gas stations followed a similar move. In early March 2025, Revvo 90 is priced at Rp 13,390 per liter.
