KatadataOTO – Changan Indonesia will soon launch the Deepal S07. More precisely, at the GJAW 2025 event.
The presence of this electric car is believed to be able to attract a lot of attention. It also challenges its compatriots like the BYD Sealion 7.
The price of this Electric Vehicle (EV) is confirmed to be competitive when it is officially sold in Indonesia.
Here, KatadataOTO summarizes the first drive of the Changan Deepal S07 while in Chongqing, China some time ago.
At a glance, this Changan electric car has a fairly sporty design. There are sharp lines visible on several parts of the body.
On the fascia, there are headlights that are already LED. It is also equipped with Daytime Running Lights (DRL).
Then, all four doors feature a frameless design. This makes the Changan Deepal S07 look even more modern.
To add to the bold impression of this compact Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV), it is equipped with 19-inch wheels wrapped in 255/45 tires at the front and rear.
Making it even more unique, the Changan Deepal S07 is embedded with a number of cameras. Such as on the front bumper, front fender, under the right and left side mirrors, and on the rear bumper.
Moving to the rear, there is an LED stop lamp that extends from left to right. There is also a light that resembles those on a Formula 1 (F1) car.
In terms of dimensions, the Changan Deepal S07 has a length of 4,750 mm, a width of 1,930 mm, a height of 1,625 mm, a wheelbase of 2,900 mm, and a ground clearance of 145 mm.
Entering the cabin of this electric car, the sporty impression is very strong. The dashboard, passenger, and driver seats are colored in a combination of black and gray.
Furthermore, there is no instrument cluster in this car. It is replaced by a fairly large head-up display (HUD).
