KatadataOTO – Changan is committed to opening at least 20 dealers in Indonesia by the end of 2026. This step is taken to make it easier for the public to obtain the units they need.

For now, the dealer development will focus on major cities. Thus, Changan sales in the country are expected to become more optimal in the future.

“Currently, there are only three, namely PIK 2, Bintaro and MT Haryonp. Later, several more will be built such as Bejasi, BSD, Banding and Bali,” said Setiawan Surya,  CEO Changan Indonesia

He also added that they are working to accelerate the development process.

“In some regions we will initially use the company's network, including Indomobil Plaza. But clearly, the focus now is Java Bali first at minimum, then other major cities,” he added later.

That network is also confirmed to focus not only on sales but also on service and spare parts. Thus customers can maintain their vehicles more easily.

It should be noted that Changan has been present in Indonesia since November 2025. The Chinese manufacturer entered Indonesia through Indomobil Group.

They brought two electric models, the Deepal SO7 and the Lumin. These two models are in different segments and each has its own advantages.

The Changan Deepal S07 is equipped with a 79.9 kWh battery paired with a 160 kW (equivalent to 214.5 hp) drive motor and 320 Nm of torque.  With a single charge, the Changan Deepal S07 can travel up to 475 km (WLTP).

Meanwhile, the Changan Lumin EV carries an LFP battery with a capacity of 28.08 kWh. It is combined with an electric motor with a maximum power of 35 kW or 46 hp. The peak torque reaches 83 Nm.

Specifically for the Changan Deepal S07, this car will start being delivered to customers in February 2026. Therefore, customers are expected to be able to use it for the Lebaran holiday travel in March.
