KatadataOTO journeyed Pulomas-PIK-Bogor with the Mitsubishi Destinator; here's the complete review.

Mitsubishi Destinator Driving Impressions: A Tough Yet Comfortable SUV
Katadata OTO Rating:

Excellent performance, comprehensive features, comfortable cabin, and seating for seven passengers.

The seating position is less ergonomic for drivers around 150 cm tall.

When driving in the city, the feature that stands out is the 360 camera. It provides a view of the vehicle's surroundings when navigating through congested areas.

Maneuvers can be performed without hesitation even though the Destinator has a considerable size, with a length of 4,680 mm, a width of 1,840 mm, and a height of 1,780 mm.

On the toll road, the Mitsubishi Destinator offers capable performance while keeping the cabin comfortable for passengers.

The well-tuned suspension makes the Destinator feel rigid when driven at high speeds on the highway, but the ride is not harsh.

This was most noticeable when the Mitsubishi Destinator was driven over the paving block roads in the PIK area.

Vibrations in the cabin are well-dampened. The sound of the tires on the asphalt also does not disturb the passengers inside the vehicle.

We then tried driving the Mitsubishi Destinator at the Sentul Circuit. Here, the engine performance and its range of driving modes were also tested.

On the straight track, acceleration from 0-100 km/h can be achieved quite quickly. The driving mode used was Tarmac.

This mode makes the engine response more aggressive, suitable for accelerating on dry, paved roads.

It should be noted that each driving mode on the Mitsubishi Destinator is claimed to affect acceleration or power delivery from the engine to the wheels, as well as the steering weight.

When maneuvering on winding tracks, the Tarmac mode also helped us control the car easily.
