Citroen Basalt Price Announced at GIIAS 2025, New Variant Available

KatadataOTO – Citroen is also enlivening the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) 2025. This time they are bringing back the Basalt.

Unlike at the Gaikindo Jakarta Auto Week (GJAW) 2025, the Citroen Basalt is now officially on sale for consumers in the country.

“We are proud to market the all-new Citroen Basalt SUV Coupe, the first to be introduced in its class,” said Ferdinan Hendra, Sales Marketing Head Division of Citroen Indonesia at ICE BSD, Tangerang, on Tuesday (23/07).

Ferdinan explained that the Citroen Basalt can be relied upon for various activities of young families.

Such as going to the office, shopping, to traveling out of town. The Citroen Basalt can meet these various needs.

“Its presence is our commitment to providing smart and comfortable mobility for the various lifestyles of urban communities in Indonesia,” he continued.

There are several advantages offered by the Citroen Basalt, namely its unique design which is a blend of an SUV and a coupe, as well as a high ground clearance.

In terms of dimensions, the Citroen Basalt has a length of 4,352 mm, a width of 1,765 mm, and a height of 1,593 mm.

Speaking of the Citroen Basalt's performance, this car is equipped with a 1,200 cc three-cylinder turbo gasoline engine paired with a six-speed automatic transmission.

The powertrain can produce 108 hp at 5,500 rpm and a peak torque of 205 Nm at 1,750 rpm-2,500 rpm.

For the underpinnings, the SUV coupe uses 205/60 tires with 16-inch wheels. 

Then, the suspension used is a MacPherson Strut with Coil Spring at the front and a Rear Twist Beam with Coil Spring at the rear.

The Citroen Basalt is also equipped with various modern features. For example, the Citroen Connect in-Vehicle Infotainment (IVI) system, a 17.7 cm Intelligent-Smart Driver Information System, and a Smart Wireless Charger.

The SUV coupe is also embedded with various driving safety systems, including six airbags as standard and 40 safety features.

On the other hand, they are also marketing a new type of Citroen Basalt, namely the Dark Edition, whose entire body is painted black.
