First 10 BAIC BJ30 Hybrid Customers Receive Units at GJAW 2025

KatadataOTO – PT JIO Distribusi Indonesia has started delivering units of the BAIC BJ30 Hybrid. This was done at the GJAW 2025 event.

It was stated that since its first launch in Indonesia, this boxy SUV has recorded more than 200 SPK (Vehicle Order Letters).

Then, as many as 100 units of the BJ30 Hybrid are ready to be sent to consumers. Symbolically, the first 10 units were handed over directly on the GJAW 2025 stage.

“This is a very meaningful moment for us. It is proof that the Indonesian people have welcomed it with enthusiasm and full confidence,” said Hanafi Derus, Sales Director of BAIC Indonesia at ICE BSD City (23/11).

It was further stated that the unit deliveries will be carried out in stages. The first batch covers the areas of Jabodetabek, Batam, Medan, Pekanbaru, Palembang, Samarinda, Semarang, Surabaya, Denpasar, Makassar, and Yogyakarta.

Hundreds of AWD boxy SUVs will be delivered over the next three months. Thus, the waiting period for consumers is over.

“This moment marks the first stage of distribution. We will start sending 100 units of the BJ30 to various regions of the country,” explained Hanafi.

The BAIC BJ30 Hybrid is claimed to be a tough SUV. It is also equipped with cutting-edge technology.

Besides offering a bold design, the engine's efficiency is also claimed to be reliable.

The color options offered are quite diverse, ranging from Green, White, Blue, Black, Matte Grey, and Light Grey.

Inside the cabin, there is a 10.25-inch instrument screen, paired with a 14.6-inch floating infotainment monitor.

The vehicle's powertrain features an engine with the code A156T2H-H1 Magic Core Drive.

The engine's combustion system is said to be efficient yet still powerful when needed.

The vehicle's power is channeled through a high-integration 2-speed DHT transmission.

Then, to accelerate from 0 – 100 km/h, it is claimed to only take 6.9 seconds.

Based on the manufacturer's claim, the fuel consumption of the BAIC BJ30 Hybrid reaches 15.5 km/liter. With a tank capacity of 51 liters, the unit can travel a distance of 1,000 km.

There are 4 special off-road driving modes available, starting from Snow, Mud, Sand, and Wading, so it can conquer various road terrains.
