Garda Oto is the Favorite Insurance Company in Batam City

KatadataOTO – Garda Oto is claimed to be one of the most widely used insurance policies by Toyota customers in the city of Batam. This is evident from the large number of customers at Agung Toyota Batam's body and paint shop who file claims.

In fact, the number even reaches 60 percent of the total insurance claims they receive each month.

“Indeed, most of our customers who come for repairs are Garda Oto customers,” said Daning Nursilasari, General Marketing Manager of Agung Toyota, to the media (23/06).

She also revealed that her company is one of Garda Oto's partner workshops that receives many customers every day. This is because they have complete facilities, making them a choice for the public.

“Because becoming a Garda Oto partner workshop is not easy. The facilities must be complete to ensure repairs can be carried out according to standards,” said Aufar Saskara, Head of the Asuransi Astra Batam Branch.

Invites Customers to Plant Mangroves

As a token of gratitude for the public's trust, Garda Oto and Agung Toyota held the Garda Oto 30th Anniversary Customer Gathering in Batam. During the event, consumers were invited to plant 3,000 Mangrove tree seedlings and create handicrafts.

This total consists of 2,000 tree seedlings from Garda Oto and 1,000 tree seedlings from Agung Toyota, planted at KBA Tua Bakau Serip, Batam. This activity is also a tangible form of Asuransi Astra's support for the Astra Net Zero Scope 1 and 2 target by 2050.

The choice of Batam city was not without reason. Based on data from the Batam Environmental Agency (DLH), the area of Mangrove forest decreased from 6,527 hectares in 2015 to 4,820 hectares in 2023, with the Tua Bakau Serip area being one of the most severely affected and thus requiring attention.
