KatadataOTO – Auto2000 together with the Bekasi City Government inaugurated the Astra Berseri Village in the Puri Gading housing complex. This activity is part of the company's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities in the environmental sector.

This program has also been spread across several regions in Indonesia, and three of them are under the guidance of Auto2000.

“This CSR has long been held by Astra International, and Auto2000 also supports this program,” said Anton Jummi Suwandy, Chief Executive Officer of Auto2000.

He revealed that in this area, the entire community is quite active in protecting the environment. Therefore, Auto2000 took the initiative to provide assistance in various ways.

“We not only help with funds but also with mentoring, training, and various other things. The goal is for the community to become more self-reliant in the future,” he later said.

Meanwhile, Tri Adhianto, the Mayor of Bekasi, appreciated what Auto2000 has done for the environment and the community.

“Support from the business world like this is important to create a clean, healthy, and competitive environment,” he said in his speech.

It should be noted that in the Astra Berseri Village at the Puri Gading housing complex, Auto2000 focuses on education, health, the environment, and MSMEs.

As for development in the health pillar, it focuses on maternal and child health by providing guidance and empowerment to posyandu (integrated health posts). The empowerment in question includes providing medical equipment, training, mentoring for cadres, and providing supplementary food for toddlers.

In the education sector, Auto2000 provides teaching & learning support tools, training, as well as teacher development and mentoring. The company takes a role in Early Childhood Education (PAUD) and elementary schools.

Then, in the environmental pillar, Auto2000 collaborates with MSMEs to cultivate aloe vera. This plant was chosen because it can be made into drinks and a business for the residents.

Lastly is the development of MSMEs in the form of mentoring and training for local residents to start businesses. The training provided is not only on how to make the products, but also includes bookkeeping, promotion, and other supporting activities to increase sales.
