Auto2000 is prepared to face the new car sales competition next year, armed with a strong strategy.
KatadataOTO – Auto2000, the official Toyota dealer in Indonesia, hopes the government will continue to provide stimulus to boost consumer purchasing power.
Although car sales are gradually improving, assistance from the government, such as automotive incentives, could have a significant impact on various factors.
For example, car prices become more competitive and taxes are lower. This way, the public is not burdened when buying new vehicles.
In response, a representative from Auto2000 stated that they will support the steps taken by the government in the future.
“We hope the government understands, providing strong direction and strategy,” said Yagimin, Chief Marketing Officer of Auto2000, when met in Tangerang recently.
It should be noted that the Minister of Economy recently stated that automotive incentives will be discontinued next year.
The reason is that the automotive industry is considered strong enough. This is coupled with the presence of many new brands and local assembly investments by several four-wheeled vehicle brands.
On the other hand, the Minister of Industry is still hoping for automotive incentives to boost the performance of the automotive market in 2026.
“I can't answer yet (regarding hopes for incentives), perhaps Toyota Astra Motor understands the details better. As a dealer, we only carry out the directives from the distributor,” Yagimin affirmed.
Towards the end of the year, Auto2000, as part of the Astra Group, is holding an exhibition at the Astra Biz Center, BSD City, Tangerang.
This is one of the efforts to maintain sales at the end of 2025. Considering that throughout December 2025, sales figures are predicted to slow down again due to the Christmas and New Year holidays.
During the exhibition period, visitors are presented with various vehicle models, including Toyota's new product line, such as the Urban Cruiser electric car.
Yagimin emphasized that they will not use an excessive discount strategy to boost their sales figures.
“I feel our discounts are still in the normal category. Of course, we think about how we can sell products whose prices are maintained in the market,” said Yagimin.
He emphasized that resale value is still a key advantage offered to customers.
Consumers do not need to be afraid of reselling their vehicles because their selling price holds up in the market.
