KatadataOTO – GIIAS Surabaya 2025 officially opened on Wednesday (27/08). This automotive exhibition is believed to be a place for the people of East Java who are looking for the latest vehicles.

Setia Diarta, Director General of Metal, Machinery, Transportation Equipment, and Electronics (ILMATE) of the Indonesian Ministry of Industry, revealed that the GIIAS Surabaya 2025 exhibition is expected to repeat last year's success.

“The Ministry of Industry supports the organization of GIIAS Surabaya 2025. This exhibition also affirms Surabaya's position as one of the strategic cities in Indonesia's automotive industry map,” he said.

Meanwhile, Yohannes Nangoi, Chairman of Gaikindo, revealed that GIIAS Surabaya 2025 is also joined by seven new brands: Aion, Baic, Denza, Geely, GWM, Jaecoo, and Scomadi.

Their presence brings the total number of participating vehicle brands to 30. Of that number, 21 are car brands, eight are motorcycle manufacturers, and one is a commercial vehicle.

“This year, there are seven new brands joining GIIAS Surabaya for the first time, which is proof of the growing automotive industry in East Java,” Nangoi later explained.

It should be noted that GIIAS Surabaya 2025 will be held at the Grand City Convex from August 27 to 31, 2025. Not only does it showcase the latest vehicles and automotive technology, the event also features various attractive sales programs.

It is not surprising that this event is believed to have a positive impact on sales in Surabaya and the surrounding areas.

Interestingly, the exhibition's entrance ticket prices are quite competitive. The organizers are selling them at prices ranging from Rp 25,000 to Rp 50,000.
