KatadataOTO – PT Toyota Motor Manufacturing Indonesia (TMMIN) continues its efforts to reduce carbon emissions. Therefore, they are continuously undertaking an energy transition, which is believed to be the key to creating a sustainable future.
TMMIN has also strived to contribute through the Company's initiatives, referring to ESG guidelines as a corporate standard that includes three main concepts: Environmental (Environment), Social, and Governance.
Furthermore, in its operations, the company also refers to the SDG (Sustainable Development Goals) guidelines. This agenda provides a shared blueprint for peace and prosperity for people and the planet.
There are at least 17 SDG points that are an urgent call to action by all developed and developing countries in a global partnership. Therefore, all of TMMIN's efforts guided by ESG and SDG are summarized in the Sustainability Report book.
Then at the Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS) 2025, TMMIN launched its Sustainability Report (SR) book as a tangible contribution to support the government's target of achieving Net Zero Emission (NZE). The SR book has been created since 2014 using a method that refers to the GRI (Global Report Initiative) and is guided by the 17 SDG points.
This time, the SR book carries the theme “Driving to Energy Transition,” which reflects the company's commitment to accelerating the adoption of renewable energy and increasing energy efficiency in every aspect of its operations.
The energy transition with the implementation of NRE (New and Renewable Energy) also plays an important role in safeguarding energy availability and the environment for future generations.
The book introduces the “Beyond Zero” initiative, which is Toyota's vision to achieve carbon neutrality through its products, services, and operations, as well as striving to find new ways to create a better world.
It also affirms the company's commitment and comprehensive approach to achieving Carbon Neutrality while creating a mobility ecosystem that benefits society and the environment.
Beyond Zero is Toyota's vision to achieve carbon neutrality through its products, services, and operations, as well as striving to find new ways to create a better world.
This initiative is demonstrated through a multi-pathway lineup of environmentally friendly vehicles, ranging from low-emission conventional Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) technology vehicles, Hybrid Electric Vehicles (HEV), Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicles (PHEV), Battery Electric Vehicles (BEV), Fuel Cell Electric Vehicles (FCEV), to renewable Flexy Fuel (Biofuels such as biodiesel or bioethanol).
Toyota offers more low- and zero-emission vehicles to provide diverse options for consumers to reduce their carbon footprint.
