KatadataOTO – Honda successfully recorded positive results at the GIIAS 2025 event by booking 1,908 orders. This number is an increase compared to the achievement at a similar event last year, which only recorded 1,891 units.
At the exhibition, which was held from July 24 to August 3, 2025, they were quite aggressive in providing offers. All their models were displayed to make it easier for visitors to see the vehicles up close.
“The number of Honda orders at GIIAS 2025 matched the results of the previous year thanks to several models like the Honda Brio and the hybrid line. This is in line with our focus on maintaining penetration into the first-time car buyer and hybrid enthusiast segments,” said Yusak Billy, Sales & Marketing and After Sales Director of PT Honda Prospect Motor in a press release (06/08).
The Honda Brio was also claimed to be the most sought-after model by customers. Impressively, there were at least 941 orders during the exhibition.
Besides the Brio, Honda's hybrid lineup is also claimed to have experienced significant growth. This is because 30 percent of the total orders came from that segment.
The Honda HR-V and Honda Step Wgn were the largest contributors with 412 units and 101 units ordered, respectively. Meanwhile, other Honda models contributed about 20 percent of the total orders.
The Japanese manufacturer even presented it at a fairly affordable price. So it's natural that people felt it was easier to get a unit that suited their wants and needs.
“Currently, consumers do have more choices according to their needs. Therefore, we greatly appreciate every consumer who places their trust in Honda products,” said Shugo Watanabe, President Director of PT Honda Prospect Motor.
Not only displaying new products, Honda also presented several models they have not yet launched in the country. One of them was the Honda Super EV Concept, which appeared as a compact electric car.
Its presence is expected to demonstrate the company's commitment to presenting environmentally friendly vehicles in Indonesia.
