Jetour Dashing has entered the Indonesian automotive market, offering a range of key features, including a spacious cabin.

KatadataOTO – Jetour Dashing enters the Indonesian market by relying on its superior features. Positioned in the B-segment SUV, this Chinese car directly challenges two market leaders.

For your information, based on Gaikindo data, January's Compact SUV wholesales were led by the Hyundai Creta with 1,081 units. This was followed by the Honda HR-V with a total of 899 units.

To win the competition, the Jetour Dashing is equipped with various features and is claimed to be better than its competitors. Although not explicitly stated, the rival specifications revealed point to the first-generation HR-V and Creta.

“The Jetour Dashing comes with the Travel+ concept, which is also a global strategy. Positioned in the B-Segment SUV, we offer a number of advantages with the Dashing compared to competitors,” said Moch Ranggi Radiansyah, Marketing Director of PT Jetour Motor Indonesia in Bandung (25/02).

During the Media Test Drive titled 'The Dashing Experience - Proud to Drive', he revealed a number of his product's advantages over its rivals.

On the exterior, it was said that one of the Dashing's advantages is the use of 19-inch wheels. Because their competitors use 18-inch (HR-V) and 17-inch (Creta Prime type and below) diameters.

Ranggi also mentioned that the Dashing's dimensions surpass its competitors. The specifications of this Chinese SUV are 4,590 mm x 1,900 mm x 1,685 mm (LxWxH).

Meanwhile, the Honda HR-V is 4,385 mm x 1,790 mm x 1,590 mm (LxWxH), while the old Hyundai Creta is 4,315 mm x 1,790 mm x 1,630 mm (LxWxH).

Based on these specifications, the Jetour Dashing offers a more spacious cabin. Even the head and legroom in the front and rear are quite ample.

This 5-seater SUV also offers the largest trunk space in its class. The rear cargo capacity reaches 586 liters, compared to its competitors, the HR-V with 335 liters and the Creta with 416 liters.

Then in terms of the powertrain, the Jetour Dashing is also said to be superior. It was stated that only their product has adopted a DCT (Dual-Clutch Transmission).

In fact, thanks to the inclusion of the DCT, the vehicle's acceleration is better. Because to reach a speed of 100 km/h from a standstill, it only takes 10.5 seconds.

The Jetour Dashing is marketed in two variant options, namely Journey and Inspira. The first type is said to be sold for around IDR 403 million, while the Inspira version is around IDR 434 million.
