List of 11 Luxury Cars of Japto Soerjosoemarno Seized by the KPK

KatadataOTO – The KPK (Corruption Eradication Commission) has finally succeeded in seizing all cars belonging to Japto Soerjosoemarno, the General Chairman of PP (Pemuda Pancasila).

A total of 11 four-wheeled vehicles were recorded as being moved from Japto's residence to be stored at the Rupbasan (State Confiscated and Seized Property Storage House) in Cawang, East Jakarta on Tuesday (04/03).

“I was just informed by investigators that the vehicles belonging to individual Y are currently being moved to the KPK Rupbasan,” said Tessa Mahardhika, KPK Spokesperson, to Antara on Wednesday (05/03).

Tessa explained that the seizure of the PP General Chairman's cars is related to a gratification case that ensnared the Regent of Kutai Kartanegara, East Kalimantan, namely Rita Widyasari.

It was mentioned that the KPK is also still investigating the case. In the process, they have seized 91 vehicles.

They also took various other items of economic value. Then there were also five plots of land with a total area of thousands of square meters.

Furthermore, the KPK also seized 30 luxury watches from various brands. Most of these items have been deposited at the Rupbasan in Cawang.

Meanwhile, the rest are placed in Samarinda, East Kalimantan, for maintenance purposes.

The anti-corruption agency intends to trace the origin of the items above. This is part of the investigation.

These items will also go through a court process to be confiscated for the state as part of asset recovery or the recovery of state financial losses.

For your information, the KPK had previously conducted a search of Japto Soerjosoemarno's house some time ago.

Tessa revealed that the KPK also seized money worth Rp 56 billion in rupiah and foreign currencies (valas), as well as documents and electronic evidence.

The search was conducted to find additional evidence and for asset recovery in the case involving Rita and Japto.
