In its latest financial report, Mitsubishi confirmed that mass production of the DST Concept will begin this year.
KatadataOTO – Mitsubishi is preparing several new products throughout 2025, one of which uses the prototype basis of the DST Concept. The model will be marketed in Southeast Asian countries.
The latest news is that Mitsubishi Japan has confirmed that the DST Concept will be mass-produced as a three-row SUV (Sport Utility Vehicle).
This was revealed in the financial report published on the official Mitsubishi Motors website on May 8, 2025.
In one of its presentations, it was shown that four products are planned to be launched for this year's period, including new cars and updates.
First, the new Outlander, but limited to the Japanese, North American, European, and Oceanian markets.
Second, Mitsubishi is also considering expanding the market reach of the Xforce HEV (Hybrid Electric Vehicle). Currently in Indonesia, the model is only available with a gasoline engine option.
Third in line is the visual of the DST Concept, a three-row SUV that will be produced and launched in various ASEAN countries.
Lastly, the newest kei car from Mitsubishi, launched exclusively for the Japanese domestic market.
In the Product Rollout Strategy section, Mitsubishi confirmed that the introduction of a new product named DST will take place in 2025.
Indonesia is a strong candidate for the DST's launch. SUVs are a type of vehicle popular with the public because they offer various advantages.
For example, high ground clearance, a sporty appearance, and a spacious cabin with a seven-passenger capacity.
The model, touted as the 7-seater version of the Xforce, has been registered in Indonesia with an NJKB (Motor Vehicle Sale Value) of Rp 193 million to Rp 240 million.
The car, suspected to be the DST Concept, has also been caught road-testing several times in a number of areas in West Java, as if signaling its imminent arrival.
Even Mitsubishi salespeople have started to reveal the arrival of the DST Concept in the country.
Based on KatadataOTO's investigation, Mitsubishi has the opportunity to present the DST at the GIIAS (Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show) 2025.
“There is no official price range yet. The rough estimate is between Rp 450 million and Rp 500 million,” said a Mitsubishi salesperson when contacted by KatadataOTO some time ago.
Unfortunately, there are no technical specification details for the DST Concept yet, but it is believed to be similar to the Xpander and Xforce.
