KatadataOTO – Mitsubishi Xforce is a compact SUV with unique features. Several features are included to pamper drivers.

The appearance of the Mitsubishi Xforce is a special attraction for consumers looking for a futuristic-style vehicle.

The newest variant, the Mitsubishi Xforce Ultimate DS (Diamond Sense), comes with more complete safety features.

“Xforce must be a game changer just like the Xpander in 2017,” said Atsushi Kurita, President Director of PT Mitsubishi Motor Krama Yudha Sales Indonesia (MMKSI) in a press release quoted (17/12).

This five-passenger SUV has a driving mode feature that assists the driver. The Wet Drive Mode is designed to conquer various road terrains.

The wet mode can be used for crossing wet or slippery roads. Like during the rainy season, as it is now.

The car becomes easier to control when crossing puddles or muddy roads.

The Wet Drive Mode itself changes the way the engine, transmission, and traction control system work. Thus, it is able to produce measured handling.

“We just select it first, start the car and put it directly in wet mode. So the wet mode is 100 percent not a gimmick,” said Rifat Sungkar, Brand Ambassador for Mitsubishi Motors Indonesia.

When in Wet mode, the steering response also becomes smoother, so it feels more stable. The driver will be confident to maneuver safely even on slippery roads.

Then the transmission will also adjust for smoother gear shifts. Thus, it is able to avoid sudden jolts.

Although it is claimed that the Wet Drive Mode feature provides a sense of security while driving. However, users must remain vigilant, especially regarding speed and safe following distance.

There are also the Lead Car Departure Notification System (LCDN), Blind Spot Warning (BSW), Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA),  Auto Headlight, Auto Rain Sensor, and also a Rear Camera.

In addition, the 4 driving modes (Normal, Wet, Gravel, and Mud) and Active Yaw Control (AYC) are still retained to add to driving safety.
