KatadataOTO – Sales of the Mitsubishi Xforce are claimed to have increased since the introduction of the new DS (Diamond Sense) variant. The new version of the SUV was just launched at the GJAW 2024 event.

The Xforce itself is a compact SUV in a highly competitive market in Indonesia. Meanwhile, many car manufacturers in the country have also introduced their own flagship products.

Amidst the fierce competition, unit refreshes are crucial to win the market. This ensures a positive reception from the public.

This is what PT Mitsubishi Motors Krama Yudha Sales Indonesia (MMKSI) has done. They made some enhancements to the Xforce, and it has paid off.

“We cannot disclose the exact figures. But we can say that sales volume has increased by 10 – 20 percent,” said Yoshio Igarashi, Director of Sales & Marketing Division at MMKSI in Jakarta (13/01).

He also mentioned that with the addition of the Xforce DS variant, future sales will focus on it. Because it better meets consumer needs.

“We project that the Diamond Sense model will eventually dominate 70 – 80 percent of all Xforce sales,” explained Yoshio.

In general, sales of the Mitsubishi Xforce are still dominated by consumers in the Greater Jakarta area (Jabodetabek). The widest distribution is said to still be on the island of Java.

The Mitsubishi Xforce Ultimate DS is equipped with more comprehensive safety features than the previous model. This enhances driving comfort.

Looking at the exterior, this 5-seater SUV only adds a Two-Tone color option, a Rear Spoiler, and Fashionable Roof Rails. Other than that, there are no other differences.

The cabin is also still the same as the previous edition. From the Smartphone-link Display Audio (SDA) to the Connected Car Service.

The most interesting part of the vehicle is its more complete safety features. The presence of front and rear Radar Sensors, plus Ultrasonic Parking Sensors, makes for a more peaceful journey.

For driving in urban areas, Xforce users can utilize the Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) with Low Speed Follow feature. As a result, the driver's feet get some relief in heavy traffic conditions.

The price of the Mitsubishi Xforce Ultimate DS in Jakarta is Rp 422.9 million. This price is confirmed to increase in early February 2025.
