KatadataOTO – Honda City Hatchback RS has officially launched with several developments believed to meet public needs. The hope is that the national automotive market can experience an increase.
The changes are quite diverse, ranging from the exterior to modern technology. Honda has also added several additional safety features to protect its users.
In its development, Honda has installed several new components such as a Front Grille, Front Under Spoiler, and Fog Light Garnish. Moving to the rear, the car gets a new Under Spoiler with Rear Diffuser, Side Sill Garnish, and newly designed 16-inch wheels.
Honda has also wrapped it in an Electric Lime Metallic color to give a prominent and modern impression.
To make the cabin feel sporty, the manufacturer has installed an instrument panel with red accents. Additionally, there is a Wireless Phone Connection feature and two USB type-C ports in the rear cabin for charging smartphones.
The City Hatchback RS is also equipped with Honda Connect. This technology allows owners to connect and monitor the vehicle's status via smartphone through the Car Status feature, and even start the car remotely with the Remote Vehicle Control feature.
In addition, the manufacturer has also added a new feature to Honda Sensing, the Lead Car Departure Notification System (LCDN). With this, the driver will be notified if the car in front has started to move.
There are no changes to the powertrain sector. Honda still uses the 1,500 cc DOHC i-VTEC engine capable of producing 119 hp at 6,600 rpm and 145 Nm of torque at 4,300 rpm.
This power is then channeled to the two front wheels through a CVT transmission. For a sportier driving sensation, the driver can activate the Paddle Shift feature, while ECON mode is suitable for more fuel-efficient journeys.
“Through new color options and the addition of connectivity technology, owners can connect with their cars via their gadgets. This combination is supported by a design refresh to be more contemporary and meet the needs of young consumers who want to stand out,” said Yusak Billy, Sales & Marketing and After Sales Director of PT Honda Prospect Motor in an official statement.
This car is sold for Rp 384.5 million, an increase of Rp 2 million from before.
