KatadataOTO – Honda City Hatchback is touted as the replacement model for the Jazz in the Indonesian market. However, it seems the City Hatchback has not been able to match the success of its predecessor.

As of August 2025, the newest variant of the Honda City Hatchback is no longer being supplied from the factory to dealers. The last time the model was sent to dealers was in July, with a total of 66 units.

Referring to Gaikindo data, the wholesales for the Honda City Hatchback were recorded at 453 units in the January-July 2025 period.

The highest wholesales figure for the Honda City Hatchback was in February 2025 with a total of 142 units.

A Honda salesperson also mentioned that the stock of the Honda City Hatchback at dealers is empty. It is not yet known when the model will be restocked.

Along with the City Hatchback, there are two other models with low wholesales, such as the manual transmission Honda WR-V and the Brio RS MT.

Nevertheless, a representative from PT Honda Prospect Motor (HPM) confirmed that the City Hatchback will still be sold to consumers.

“Currently, all models of the Honda City Hatchback, Honda WR-V MT, and Brio (RS) MT are still available in the Honda dealer network,” said Yusak Billy, Sales & Marketing and Aftersales Director of PT HPM, to KatadataOTO recently.

It should be noted that the Honda City Hatchback currently offered to consumers is an updated version of the previous type.

There are minor changes to the exterior and more complete Honda Sensing safety features. However, this time the Honda City Hatchback is not available with a manual transmission option.

Honda is reluctant to confirm plans to discontinue sales of the Honda City Hatchback, even though its wholesales records have been zero since August 2025.

“We will continue to monitor demand trends and market performance in order to optimally meet consumer needs,” said Billy.

For your information, the Honda City Hatchback is sold at a price of Rp 384.5 million on the road in Jakarta.

The newest City Hatchback debuted in Indonesia in early January 2025. The engine used is still the same as the previous variant, using a 1,500 cc engine that produces 119 hp and a peak torque of 145 Nm.

Power is channeled through a CVT automatic transmission to the two front wheels (Front Wheel Drive).
