Honda Prelude Price Below Rp 1 Billion, Can Be Ordered at These 25 Dealers

KatadataOTO – PT Honda Prospect Motor introduces the Honda Prelude hybrid sports car for Indonesian consumers.

Indonesia officially becomes the first country in Southeast Asia to bring in the Honda Prelude after its global introduction.

The Prelude is presented as the first step in Honda's electrification commitment, especially in the Indonesian market.

“Through this model, we want to present a hybrid sports car that still maintains Honda's fun-to-drive character,” said Yusak Billy, Sales & Marketing and Aftersales Director of PT HPM in an official broadcast, quoted Friday (23/01).

The Honda Prelude itself has a long history, first introduced in 1979 and categorized as a technology-based personal coupe.

After five generations, the Honda Prelude was arguably dormant in the early 2000s. Now it has been revived as the sixth generation and a symbol of Honda's commitment in the era of electrification technology development.

The hybrid technology in the Honda Prelude is then combined with a distinctive driving sensation that is also suitable for everyday use.

This philosophy is also reinforced by the presence of Honda S+ Shift in the Prelude. It is designed to maintain a driving feel that is one with the driver.

The driver can feel it through the sensation of gear shifts, performance characteristics according to the mode, the tachometer display, and the engine sound response during acceleration and deceleration.

Thus, despite being part of the electrification line, the driving feel and character of the car are maintained through this series of features and performance.

Not only that, the Honda Prelude uses a platform derived from the Civic Type R to enhance the driving experience for its users.

For interested consumers, the Honda Prelude is offered in limited quantities. Meanwhile, its price range is under IDR 1 billion.
