New Toyota GR Yaris Unveiled, More Sporty and Comfortable

KatadataOTO – The high-performance Toyota GR Yaris has received a refresh in its home country, Japan. Although it has not been officially launched, interested potential customers can already place an order.

It should be noted that GR (Gazoo Racing) at Toyota is a line of high-performance vehicles. In Indonesia, the GR Yaris is one of the models offered.

The series of developments embedded in the new Toyota GR Yaris are adopted from Toyota's participation in various motorsport events, such as the Super Taikyu Series and the Japanese Rally Championship.

The result is a more reliable Toyota GR Yaris, with the driving sensation and overall vehicle performance claimed to be better.

Another addition is the Aero Performance Package, an additional body kit developed with professional racers for maximum implementation.

The front hood uses a ducted aluminum hood, similar to the one on the GRMN Yaris which has been optimized for rally racing in Japan. The central vent maximizes air circulation, helping the engine to cool down faster.

Then there is a front lip spoiler to help improve the vehicle's balance when driven at high speeds.

At the bottom, the fuel tank area is given a cover. This is claimed to optimize airflow under the car and increase its aerodynamics.
