Porsche Car Lineup Enters the Virtual World, Including the 918 Spyder

KatadataOTO – Porsche is one of the renowned automotive brands that has become an icon of premium vehicles in the global market. The brand continues to attract car enthusiasts across generations.

A model that is quite popular and considered iconic among automotive enthusiasts is the Porsche 918 Spyder, first introduced at the 2010 Geneva Motor Show.

The Porsche 918 Spyder combines two electric motors with a V8 engine, making it a high-performance hybrid car that offers a maximum driving sensation.

Its engine has a displacement of 4,600 cc. Thanks to the support of electric motors, the Porsche 918 Spyder's powertrain configuration is claimed to produce 652 kW of power, equivalent to 874.3 hp.

It also features five driving modes that allow the driver to experience the Porsche 918 Spyder in both hybrid and full-electric modes.

In the global market, the Porsche 918 Spyder is offered at a price range of 845,000 USD. When converted to the rupiah exchange rate, this figure is around Rp 14.07 billion.

When launched, the Porsche 918 Spyder was sold for 500,000 euros, equivalent to Rp 5.87 billion. This made it one of Porsche's most expensive models, alongside the Carrera GT.

Interestingly, Porsche has now officially entered into a partnership with the popular game brand PUBG Mobile, lasting until February 28, 2026.

Through this collaboration, PUBG Mobile players can use the luxury manufacturer's flagship models such as the Porsche 918 Spyder, Porsche Panamera Turbo S, and the Porsche 911 Carrera 4 GTS GTS Cabriolet.

PUBG stated that the partnership offers a new experience for PUBG Mobile players until next year.

“Collaborating with Porsche allows us to offer something truly extraordinary to the players,” said Vincent Wang, Head of PUBG Mobile Publishing at Tencent Games, in an official statement, quoted Friday (05/12).

Besides using Porsche cars, the units can be customized with various Porsche-themed accessories.

Furthermore, exclusive Porsche content as part of this collaboration will be available in PUBG: Battlegrounds, accessible via PC and consoles during the November and December 2025 period.
