KatadataOTO – The Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency has revealed an atmospheric phenomenon triggering heavy rain in several regions. This situation must be watched out for by the public, especially when planning to travel.
Especially for those who use a car as their primary mode of transportation. This is because heavy rain can potentially limit visibility and cause aquaplaning.
However, for users of the All New Mitsubishi Destinator, these risks can be minimized because it has several key features to make driving easier for the driver.
One of them is the Auto Wiper, which will operate immediately when the sensor detects rainwater on the windshield. This feature will adjust the speed according to the volume of water, so the driver doesn't have to bother manually adjusting the wipers and can stay focused on the road.
Besides the wipers, the Mitsubishi Destinator is also equipped with a front windshield defogger to maintain driver visibility.
“The Mitsubishi Destinator also has drive modes that can be adjusted to road conditions. The most suitable drive mode for rainy conditions is wet,” said Rifat Sungkar, Brand Ambassador for Mitsubishi Motors Indonesia.
Thanks to this mode, traction is regulated to allow the computer to intervene more in reducing wheel slip. This mode is further optimized because the Mitsubishi Destinator is equipped with Active Yaw Control, which can improve stability when cornering by controlling the distribution of braking force between the front wheels, helping to prevent understeer, and keeping the vehicle on its path.
Another advantage of the Mitsubishi Destinator for driving in the rainy season is its high ground clearance, reaching 244 mm. With this, the driver can face light puddles without worry.
The Mitsubishi Destinator is also equipped with Diamond Sense safety technology, which consists of several modern features. From Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), Forward Collision Mitigation (FCM), Blind Spot Warning (BSW), Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA), Leading Car Departure Notification (LCDN), Automatic High Beam (AHB), to the Multi Around Monitor.
All these advantages are believed to help when dealing with rain. However, it should be remembered that driver caution remains the most important factor in driving safety.
