KatadataOTO – Car sales in Indonesia recovered again in October 2025. The figure is still quite far from the initial target set by Gaikindo, which is around 900 thousand units.

However, the number of new car retail sales is starting to show a positive trend. Referring to Gaikindo data, Toyota is still the best-selling car brand in the country with an achievement of 21,504 units.

This figure is up from the achievement in September of 20,072 units. Then in second place is Daihatsu with 12,196 units.

BYD recorded a massive 9,732 units. This rapid increase was achieved thanks to deliveries of the compact Atto 1 electric car, which began in October.
